I've been dealing with lower back pain/sciatica for the last 18 months or so. I've gone to Chiropractors, physical therapists and pain management doctors.
Right before Thanksgiving I finally went and had an MRI done and the results show a herniated (also referred to as a ruptured) disk.
I was hoping it would get better on it's own but .... guess not.
I am going to have cortisone injections done on Dec. 10th and hopefully that will give me some relief but it looks like some back surgery is in my future. Ugh!

The Baptist Collegiate Ministry's Progressive Dinner
John always LOVES helping to serve the college students from ISU as they come to Sugar Creek on their list of stops during the annual progressive dinner. Roger Bear has been leading this ministry for more than 26 years.
John loves kidding around with all the students. In fact he probably has more fun than the kids do. He looks forward to it EVERY year.

Mother's Day 2010
A Happy Mother's Day reflecting on two of the most wonderful blessings of my life. God so richly blessed me with two precious lives and I've had the joy of seeing them grow from infants into the two fine young men they are today. I only wish it hadn't gone by so fast. One day they are crawling at your feet and before you know it, they've left the nest to start lives of their own. They both love and serve the Lord where they live and that means a great deal to me. Neil, lives in Southern California with his wife Lizette and Glen lives in Greenfield, IN with his wife, Sheri. When I count my blessings these two definitely come to mind as two of God's greatest.

Happy 35th Birthday
Well, another birthday for a wonderful son. We think he just continues to get better with age. He was a cutie pie in this picture on his second birthday but he'll always be a cutie pie to his Dad and me. Today is a milestone birthday. Born in 1975 ....today he's celebrating 35 terrific years. What a blessing he has been to so many people. Hope this is the best birthday so far. As parents we are truly blessed.

Happy 5th Anniversary
It's hard to believe that 5 years have already passed since this beautiful couple tied the knot on March 22, 2005.
They are enjoying sunny Southern California life. God is opening doors for them in ministry and we are both happy and proud of them and pray God's Blessing and continued success in the years to come.

Happy Anniversary
42 years ago John and I were married. I won't say we've lived happily ever after but I will say it's been worth every single day to get to where we are now. I thought I loved him when I married him but I didn't really know what true love is all about.
I like the line I heard in a movie once. "When two people (who love each other) do something that hurts the other one..... they don't forget what happened ... they forgive."
That's what keeps the relationship going.
No marriage (including ours) is smooth sailing all the time but if we'll forgive, then the love will grow deeper and richer with each passing year.
God has blessed me with a Wonderful husband and I don't want to ever take him for granted. He has taught me so much about love and about putting your spouse first.
We are so thankful for the 42 years we've had together and look forward to the next 42.

Neil's Birthday
What a Great Lookin' Guy with a smile that can light up a room. Today is his birthday and all I can say is that my life has been blessed with the gift of my first-born son. He and his wife Lizette live in the Southern California area and just love it. Here's hoping there will be many, many more Happy Birthdays in the future.
